Class Description
Welcome to Schole - a classical/charlotte mason-inspired approach to learning. We will interweave literature, history, music, art, poetry, herbs, storytelling, & more in weekly lessons. This is our third year! We are an official Schole community.
The class will include Classical Academic Press Writing & Rhetoric Book 7 curriculum (with a 7 week long Biography paper in the Spring), Literature Book Discussions & projects (including Around the World in 80 Days, Heidi, and Treasure Island), Teatime with poetry, World History foundations, World Animal study and watercolors, Birds around the World study, World Flags, Persuasive Holidays Writing (National and World Holidays), as well as subjects such as Herbal Study, Reader’s Theater, Fallacies, Commonplace scrapbooks, Radio Dramas, World Storytelling, and Folk Songs/Music. Most work & books will be completed at home.
The students will share their work, writing, projects, etc with the class.
Most work can be done independently.
Most work will be posted, including a weekly assignment guide, in a Google Classroom that the student will need to have access to.
This class covers Language Arts, History, plus so much more, - just add your own science & math for a full curriculum.
