Class Description
STEM Tales is an engaging and interactive course designed for elementary age students to explore the world of STEM through the lens of popular fairytales. Each week a new open-ended fairytale inspired STEM challenge will present a unique problem or task that encourages students to use their imaginations and apply their knowledge to create solutions. Students will be presented a series of hands-on small group challenges that will promote critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and perseverance. They will practice effective communication skills while sharing ideas and strategies. My primary goal is to create a supportive environment where learners can feel confident in their abilities and develop a positive attitude towards STEM subjects. Students will be encouraged to think outside the box, learn to approach challenges with curiosity and embrace challenges as an opportunity for growth and learning.

Additional Info:
The projects will be student led. I will be providing the materials and the assigned challenge parameters but not the "how" for students to accomplish their goal. Please know that some challenges may be frustrating for some students. I hope to foster team work and free thinking each week and hope to assist our students to work through these frustrations in a fun and positive manner.
