Class Description
The study of psychology encompasses such a broad range of topics, and in this class students will be introduced to many different areas of psychology. Topics include psychology as a science, brain and behavior, how our brain develops over our lifespan, personality, social psychology, and careers in the field of psychology. I will provide a textbook for students for at home reading and we will have discussion and fun activities in class based on the reading.

Psychology is such a fun and exciting topic that is connected to so many aspects of our lives, but I will do my best to steer our learning and conversations away from the areas of psychology that may be politically or religiously controversial. I respect the differences of homeschool families in our community and will guide students to talk to their parents if sensitive topics come up during our discussions.
