Class Description
Welcome to Schole - a classical/charlotte mason-inspired approach to learning. We will interweave literature, history, music, art, poetry, herbs, storytelling, & more in weekly lessons. The class will include Classical Academic Press Writing & Rhetoric Book 8 curriculum (also included is a 6 week long Biography paper in the Fall), American Literature Book Discussions & projects (including Sign of the Beaver, Johnny Tremain, and My Brother Sam is Dead), Teatime with poetry, American History, Persuasive tourist writing on 11 States, as well as subjects such as Herbal Study, Reader’s Theater, Commonplace scrapbooks, Radio Dramas, storytelling, and Folk Songs/Music. All work & books will be completed at home. Students will have a weekly assignment checklist.
The students will share their work, stories, projects, etc with the class.
Most work can be done independently.
