AP Exploration Lab - Advanced Studies for College Readiness
Prepare for college-level coursework and explore advanced academic topics with our AP Exploration Lab! This unique course is designed for motivated high school students who wish to engage with Advanced Placement® level material in a variety of subjects. As an AP-certified instructor with credentials in numerous AP disciplines, I will guide you through a structured, self-paced study program tailored to your chosen area of interest.
Each student will select an AP subject they wish to explore and acquire the corresponding 5 Steps to a 5 study guide. I will provide access to required college-level textbooks and official AP syllabi for your chosen subject. Our weekly one-hour co-op meetings will serve as a vital support system, offering:
* Check-ins: Regular progress monitoring to ensure you stay on track with your study goals.
* Concept Clarification: Personalized explanations and support for any challenging topics you encounter.
* Exploration and Discussion: Opportunities to delve deeper into the subject matter and engage in meaningful discussions.
This class empowers you to take ownership of your learning and gain valuable exposure to advanced academic content, whether you choose to pursue the official AP exam or simply seek a more rigorous high school experience. Students are responsible for independent study outside of our weekly meetings. This course is suitable for high school students who are self-directed and eager to engage with challenging material in preparation for their college journey. Please note that taking the official AP exam is optional and not a requirement of this course.
