Class Description
Students will learn proper theater terminology along with basic skills for musical theater production including projection, blocking, choreograph, and acting skills. We will be working on the production of James and the Giant Peach Jr. This will be performed at the end of March. We will also be putting together a performance for the fall and spring Showcase.

Each student is REQUIRED to have BLACK JAZZ SHOES. They will also be responsible for their base costume for the show.

This is a full year class. Student must be able to listen closely and follow directions. Every student's role is important to the show, therefore it is extremely important for each student to attend every class and extra rehearsal. Each student needs to be dedicated to spend time OUT OF CLASS to review their music, lines, blocking, and choreography. That is their homework each week and during the school breaks. Doing this outside of class allows our rehearsals to go smooth and be more productive. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT DATES: AUDITIONS: AUGUST 19 1st day of Class: August 26th December 2nd: Rehearsal December 9th: Rehearsal January 13th: Rehearsal January 20th: Rehearsal (during Meet the Teacher) **We use the BAND app to relay important information for our class included all our music and choreography videos. This is not optional. Each student is REQUIRED to have access to Band in some way. The Band app is also the best/easiest way to contact me or ask questions.
