Class Description
In this exciting, game-based geography course, students step into the role of a newly hired museum curator with a mission unlike any other: travel to every continent on Earth and collect remarkable artifacts for a grand museum opening — all in 80 days! But before the adventure begins, every great explorer needs to master the tools of the trade. Students will start by building essential map skills, learning how to read and interpret maps, use coordinates, identify landforms, and navigate the globe with confidence. These foundational skills are not just lessons — they are the keys to unlocking the next stage of the journey.
Once equipped with their map skills, students will embark on a whirlwind expedition across all seven continents, discovering the unique cultures, histories, and environments that make each region of the world extraordinary. Along the way, they will "collect" artifacts that represent the people and places they encounter, piecing together a one-of-a-kind museum collection that tells the story of our world. Through collaboration, critical thinking, and a spirit of curiosity, students will come away with a deeper understanding of world geography.
